Upon completion of this program in the spring of 2013, he will have graduated with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree with a high concentration in Construction Management.

Over the past two summers, John had the opportunity to intern for two excellent companies in two completely different locations. The one internship was one located in the Media, PA outside of the Philadelphia area, where John had the privilege to become the project intern. As for his other internship, he had a great experience in the Washington D.C area, where he utilized his career goals to position as a field layout engineer. John was able to gain an excellent experience, while working on a $20 M project; he understood a variety of activities. John’s primary tasks included contacting subcontractors, submittal review & process, RFIs, schedule updates, layout &coordination, and lastly construction documentation review. He is currently in the process of earning his OSHA 10 hour and would like to become L.E.E.D certified in the future.

Outside of school and work, John is an active member in many clubs and organizations. He is a member of the USGBC-PSU Chapter, Student Society of Architectural Engineering, and wrestles for the club team at Penn State. This year John is excited to join a new THON organization and looks forward to what the future holds.
